Maharashtrian upwas khichadi is an authentic and light Sago recipe which is most commonly served during fasting.
Sago pearls stir fried over ghee with groundnut powder, chillies and cumin seeds; served with chilled sweetened curd/yogurt makes your fasting more divine.

Directions for Preparation:
1. Soak Sabudana Khichadi Mix in 135 ml. water for 40minutes. Mix the masala pack in soaked sabudana, evenly cook in a pan for 3mins till sabudana turns translucent.
Microwave: Cook the soaked Sabudana Khichadi Mix for 3 minutes with 1 minute stirring interval.
You can also steam it in pressure cooker without whistle for 3-5 minutes.
Tip: Garnish with coriander leaves, grated coconut and lemon juice.
This product requires no added ingredients, just add water and cook and product is complete Indian style cuisine.
