Our Guardian Angel….

Father’s Day cannot be celebrated without the blessings of Our Father, who visualized not only that Ready to Cook Food has a bright future and that the recipes formulated by Mom are way beyond the times, but also that they have a capacity to travel far to Countries and serve so well.

This wasn’t a miracle. The working on format of products to be Ready to Cook wasn’t decided just like that. It had a background of working women (Mom), who just go crazy each day deciding meals and managing their time and energy for food. It also has a background of experiences where Women of the house are unwell and the load of making meals is on Men of the house.

I remember a funny experience to share about Baba. Me and my sister were in school. When we came home, we saw that mom wasn’t well. She had fever and severe headache. Baba was never into Kitchen at all. It wasn’t about believing in Gender equality, but he wasn’t raised in a way that he needs to know anything about kitchen. But when the time came that his daughters were hungry, couldn’t make anything on their own as they were small, the restaurants not closeby, he had to enter the kitchen and make something for his family. The toughest time that even he could recall. He made the worst of Upma he could. We still recall the taste and have a good laugh.

When we shifted to Mumbai, Mom was working for a while and we experienced similar situations. We realized that cooking meals had to be a less time-consuming thing. This gave rise to the idea of shortening the cooking process by making a PREMIX of the same recipe. BANG….. This gave rise to various experiments at home front, where Mom and Baba were continuously thinking and trying out various recipes in RTC format.

Baba, who never ever took interest in food ever, who never entered kitchen otherwise, was a completely changed man now. He knew all the minute varieties of spices to understanding qualities of different grains. He started knowing all the processes and the best part was that he started eating all the varieties of Dhanashree Products. He believed that if we manufacture, we need to know the product in and out. We used to tease him often saying “ kadhi Kulith Pithle khaun tari baghitla hota ka?” on which he used to reply “ Now I don’t have a choice… Need to eat what I sell.. to be convinced enough.”

These and many such small messages and anecdotes are still remembered everyday…The vision that he had for the company, the passion of working relentlessly are remembered each day. It’s a decade that you are not physically with us, but not a single day goes without your blessings!
